Nurture Well-being is a family yoga and mindfulness school. We use practical yoga and mindfulness techniques to help parents and children with everyday issues such as tantrums, general behaviour and sleep, through to emotional recovery due to an abusive relationship.

Our trainer, Charlie, uses her training and expereince of many years working in schools, daycare nurseries, and children's social care, combined with training and experience in parenting, health, nutrition and wellness, to bring you courses that can help change your family dynamic to a calm, peaceful, joyful home.

"Charlie has such a natural gentle way...she has a real gift."

Hi, I’m Charlie. Welcome to my Teachable school.

My company, Nurture Well-being, offers courses, classes and workshops to help bring calm and well-being to your whole family.

As a Mum of two children and two step-children (two of whom are teenage boys currently), I've had my fair share of sleepless nights, fussy food fads, tantrums and general behaviour to manage. As well as my own family, I have cared for and taught hundreds of children during the first 25 years of my career where I worked in international Montessori schools, early years and daycare settings, including running a sucessful daycare nursery, pre-school and holiday clubs.

I've lost count of how many children I've toilet trained, sleep trained, taught to speak and read, and all the other things that go with teaching and caring for children. Some of the children I taught in my early career, now have their own children. Others are at college or university.

I'm so grateful to have been able to access the teaching, skills and support I needed after leaving an abusive marriage 9 years ago. This came from friends, yoga teachers, counsellors, holistic practitioners, family and a lot of training through my jobs. I have applied this in my own life as well as in my work with children and families.

In the last few years, I have worked in Children's Social Care, offering parenting and emotional support. I have worked predominantly with women and children who have experienced various types of abuse, such as domestic, narcissistic, psychological and physical abuse.

This inspired me to train as a family yoga and meditation teacher, so that I could use techniques to help women and children manage and begin to heal from the emotional trauma of a previous relationship. Yoga and mindfuless helped me recover from an abusive marriage, so I knew it could also help others.

When I saw the difference this work made to families, I wanted to share it more widely, to enable more people who have experienced domestic abuse to benefit in a way which allows them to move on to a happy and fulfilled life, for them and their children. This is why I wrote my first online course 'Parenting After Domestic Abuse'.
